I have always been an optimist and have made my philanthropic choices based on this persistent focus on the possible. I started Enlight Foundation in 2004 and focused from the beginning on creating equal educational opportunities for young people around the world and empowering young leaders to tackle the world’s biggest problems with innovative and scalable solutions. I see investing in young leaders and the future of young people as one of the most optimistic things I can do.

Two of the biggest challenges facing young people today are mental wellbeing and climate change. Given how urgent both issues are for the future of our planet and the generation of young people who will steward it, I am committed to spending down Enlight Foundation focused on these two causes and working with as many other donors and partners along the way as possible. This is what motivated me to join the Giving Pledge.

I believe we can create a better future by collaborating with each other, elevating young leaders, lifting up solution-focused practices, and most importantly, treating one another with compassion.
