Economic mobility

October 25, 2023 | Throughout the year, the Giving Pledge community comes together to learn about pressing issues and the role of philanthropy in addressing them. Several recent events have explored opportunities to support the work to build equitable systems and a more racially just society. We recently gathered to discuss economic mobility with a particular focus on two issues: first, addressing the myriad of challenges and stigmas that can prevent formerly incarcerated individuals from successfully reentering society; and second, promoting financial inclusion and expanding access to capital in underserved communities.
